Flirting With a Mistress

What’s this all about I hear you say?? Well don’t worry it’s not what you think. Mrs.B and I are still going strong and I think she’ll be having a few words with me for even joking about having a mistress in the title! I do still feel like I’m cheating on my first love though, online love that is. Money Bulldog now has a sister site which you can find at! Maybe I shouldn’t have said sister, this is just getting weirder!

It’s been about a year since I first set up Money Bulldog and time has really flown. In that time I’ve taken a course in accounting, sold a house, moved house and now we’re moving again. During all this I’ve also been writing posts for Money Bulldog (some of which I hope have been useful) and embarking on the huge learning curve that is personal finance blogging.

When I started Money Bulldog I really didn’t have a clue what I was doing, I was just making it up as I went along. After 12 months of blogging and interacting with so many other amazing personal finance bloggers though, I finally feel ready to take the plunge and take on another project. I know in the past few weeks I’ve been complaining about my lack of time but a few of the time commitments which I’ve been juggling around for months are soon coming to an end and Mrs.B has finally given me permission to branch out and add a .com to my blog repertoire.

One thing you realize when you start setting up another site is just how much work you’ve put into your existing one! In the back of my mind I thought I’d have the new site set up and ready to go in no time but I’d forgotten just how much time I spent setting up all those social accounts, installing plugins, configuring settings, setting up a hosting package etc., it’s a lot of work and certainly not easy.

Anyway if you want to pay a visit to Money Rebound our first post should be going live today and I hope you like it. The site itself is still a work in progress but I just couldn’t wait to start blogging so I hope you can put up with it being a little threadbare for the time being.

On another note I’d like to say a big thank you to Wise Dollar for mentioning Money Bulldog recently.

  1. Thanks for the mention and good luck with the new site. I recently also started a new site and like you have only just realized exactly how much time and effort it takes!

That is awesome, congratulations! I have been toying with the idea, but as a magnificent procrastinator… I’ll start one tomorrow 🙂 good luck with your site and thanks for the mention!

Thanks for the mention! COngratulations on teh birth of a new sote, lol. I’m not sure if I would call it a mistress or a new born. A mistress should be low maintenance, a newborn will equire lots of care and feeding!

  4. Congrats Adam, though I sort of knew already. 😉 I am certain you can really see the time you put in on the first site right about now. Like I told you, I think my wife would shoot me if I started another site right now…but that is the goal – someday. 🙂 Thanks for the mentions and good luck with the new site!

  5. Hey mate, just checked out the new page and am your first LIKE on FB ha! It looks great. I don’t have the time for a second site so kudos to you but I’m sure you’ll kill it! Cheers and thanks for the shares today.

    • Thanks Mr.CBB. I really didn’t like looking at the zero Facebook likes so thanks for sorting that out for me and it’s always a pleasure to share The Canadian Budget Binder!!

  6. LOL, no wonder I liked the writing style over at Money Rebound so much. :-). I’m sure the new site will be just as entertaining and informative as this one, Adam. Congrats!

  7. I knew it looked familiar. I was about to email you and say someone was formatting their posts just like you. Glad I didn’t. Good luck with the new site and I am following it. Thanks for the two article mentions.

    • Thanks for following Grayson and also for looking out for a fellow blogger. I wasn’t sure if I should go for a completely new look or style but it’s taken me a long time to find a format I’m happy with so thought I might as well stick with it.
