I have to admit that I do struggle to not spend money on takeout coffees. I’ve advised against it in the past as the cost really does add up over the course of a month, let alone a year. Yet, I find myself still buying them as my other business takes me away from home a lot. Recently, though, I came across a bit of a revelation which is saving me a fortune.

Free Coffee Every Day at Booths

Did you know that you can get a free coffee each and every day at Booths supermarket if you have a Booths card? Someone mentioned this to me in the past and I think I dismissed it as a ‘too good to be true’ thing, but it really is true.

As part of an environmental initiative Booths started offering a free coffee each day when you bring your own reusable cup. The offer is not restricted to plain old filter coffee either, you can also get a latte and cappuccino. There’s even decaf available if you prefer that.

How Does the Offer Work?

First of all, you need to sign up for a booths card. To do this you’ll need to pick up a relevant leaflet in-store. You can send off the form in the leaflet by post. Or, you can fill one out online using the membership number in the leaflet. The card does take a few weeks to arrive but it’s well worth the wait.

Once you have your card, you then just need to present it at the till (along with your 12oz reusable cup) to claim your free coffee token. If you don’t have a reusable coffee cup then don’t worry, as you can buy one in-store if you like. Or, if you want one that will suit your style then you can buy one online* too.

How Much Does a Reusable Cup Cost?

If you’re wondering how much the Booths own brand reusable cup costs then you’ll be pleased to hear it is just £3 if you purchase it with your Booths card.

I’ve only used it a couple of times but so far I’ve found it to be a pretty good design. The lid pops off easily and I don’t find myself spilling any Coffee while I’m drinking from it.

The coffee is also good from Booths, especially if you don’t put any sugar in it.

Why Not Give it a Try?

So, if you have a Booths supermarket near you then why not give the offer a try. Especially if you are a regular drinker of takeaway coffee. It really could save you a lot of money in the long run.
