Match Fixing: Do you trust sport anymore?
I don’t know about you but I’m a huge sports fan. In fact, there aren’t many sports that I won’t play or watch, even down to the curling when the winter Olympics are on. After reading another story of match fixing on the BBC website today though – Involving a player from my beloved and suspiciously poor performing Blackburn Rovers – I have to admit that I’m starting to wonder if we can really trust any of the sport we watch anymore?

So far we’ve had 250+ entries which I can safely say makes it the most successful giveaway we’ve hosted to date. It’s Good to Give + Movember Giveaway
Hey everyone, hope you’re having a relaxing Saturday! I can guess I won’t be with the two little ones running around the place, time to head out into the countryside! Anyway although we have some other things I need to mention I also wanted to use today’s post to talk a little bit about giving.
On Money Bulldog we tend to talk a lot about making money, investing money, saving money and spending money but I have to hold my hands up and say that often times the premise of giving gets lost along the way, something I’m not proud of. This week I was contacted by a blogger friend of mine who was planning an admirable post to highlight the preferred charities of a bunch of bloggers in the hope that it may lead to some big – or not so big – donations. The thing is, they all count.

As a parent I want the best for my kids. I want them to be happy, financially successful, and to have a better life than my own. It is natural to want the best for your kids, but if we help them too much then we can unknowingly ruin their lives.
‘Ruining your kid’s life’ sounds like a strong statement, but here is what happens. Lets say you have two kids. From a young age one is driven, independent and disciplined. The other is easily distracted, is less resourceful and seems to struggle. The one naturally does well so you spend more time helping the other. You help him with his homework and writing his papers you give him money because you don’t think he can get a job. You fix problems for him. The result is that your child will depend on you more and more. While the one does well in school, earns his own money, and fixes his own problems. I have seen this happen in many families.
