Shopping with Kids: How Not to Let It Ruin Your Life and Budget
Any parent reading this is likely to agree that going shopping with children isn’t easy. My little girl used to just grab stuff from the supermarket shelves but has now moved onto the next phase, which is pleading for me to buy every single product with a cartoon character on the packaging.
There is no simple solution to this problem but here are a few tactics which have worked for me in recent weeks.
Furniture Store Sales are Fake? Surely not!
Hey everyone. Hope you’re having a fun or relaxing Saturday, whichever you prefer. I’m more in need of the relaxation this weekend as the kids have managed to drive Mrs.B and I a little crazy this week with their seemingly endless amounts of energy and quite deafening foghorn voices. I honestly don’t know how such small children can create so much noise, though on the rare occasion that I’m foolish enough to upset Mrs.B, I quickly see where they inherited the voice from! 🙂
There’s been a bit of an uprising by the office of fair trading this week about the permanent ‘up to 70% off’ sales that exist in almost all of the major furniture retailers across the country. I do find it a little odd that it takes a professional regulating body an absolute age to recognise and act on a problem that most of us know has existed for at least the past decade but better late than never hey.
Creating the Ideal Premier League Kick-off Weekend
Before I start this post I should warn you that for today only any thoughts of sensible spending and budgeting are going out of the window because one of my favourite weekends of the year has finally arrived!
Can anyone recommend a good web host? + Shout Outs!
If you follow Money Bulldog on regular basis you will know that we’ve been dealing with a few technical issues recently mostly related to blog hosting. We’ve also had a few other niggling little problems with things like pingbacks that we needed to get resolved. Anyway, I’m hoping all those issues have now been fixed but one thing that did get caught up somewhere in all of the past few months mess was our usual thanks and shout outs to all the bloggers who have been kind enough to mention articles from Money Bulldog in their blog carnivals and also in their posts.
Balancing Professionalism with Likeability
It’s Friday, it’s sunny and I’m feeling pretty happy that the weekend is here!
I have to admit that I’m a little more tired than usual today due to my marathon catch up session of The Apprentice UK last night, I thought I’d better fit in some missed episodes as the final is fast approaching. Being self-employed I just can’t get enough of the apprentice. Yes some of the people on the show come out with the most ridiculous one liners and others are so clueless that I’m sure they’ve only been put on there to give us all a good laugh but still, under all this bravado, I think there are some hidden business gems that we can all take note of.
